JETTY Extracts is proud to announce the expansion of its Shelter Project to New York, marking a significant milestone in its mission to provide free cannabis to cancer patients in need. Since its inception in 2014, the Shelter Project has provided over $1 million in free cannabis products to more than 1,000 low-income cancer patients in California and Colorado. Now, JETTY is bringing this life-changing initiative to the East Coast.
Starting this May, eligible cancer patients in New York will be able to receive free cannabis through partnerships with two local dispensaries: Buffalo Dreams in Buffalo and Happy Days Dispensary in Long Island. The Shelter Project’s expansion is a testament to JETTY’s commitment to compassionate care and making cannabis accessible to those who need it most.
Bringing Relief to New York
Nate Ferguson, JETTY Extracts Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, shared his excitement about the expansion: “Running a medical dispensary, I saw firsthand the relief it provided cancer patients and those with chronic illness. We started the JETTY Shelter Project after seeing how cannabis could change lives. As a native of Buffalo, I’m incredibly proud to bring this program to New York and provide relief to patients in my hometown.”
The Shelter Project aims to humanize and improve access to high-quality, affordable plant medicine for disadvantaged and severely ill cancer patients. Applications are accepted twice a year during the enrollment periods from May 1 – June 30 and November 1 – December 31. Patients who qualify will receive free cannabis products tailored to support their individual needs.
Partnering with Local Dispensaries
JETTY has teamed up with two outstanding partners to make this expansion possible. Bee Duangtavilay, owner of Buffalo Dreams, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to partner with JETTY Extracts and bring the Shelter Project to New York.
